Hi! My name is Kelly and I am a stylist and salon owner in Vernal, Utah.
I am a project-loving, business-minded, family-focused, rock music lover with a little tinge of the OCD (that makes me very organized and goal oriented). Doing hair has been my long term goal since I was a tom-boy teenager and when I moved to Vernal I turned that dream into reality.
My love for hair has blossomed over the last few years and has become a major part of my career. I specialize in bridal styles, creating perfectly undone looks that you see on Pinterest. I have all the tools and accessories you need to bring your perfect look to life! My specialties also include partial blending and cuts.
My love for the business side of this industry is a driving factor in my life and urges me to do better every day at providing you with the best experience imaginable. Web design and marketing are becoming a large part of my career.

The experience...
I am all about a good consultation! Whether you are wanting a cut, color, updo or a full bridal service, it starts with an in-depth consultation. If you are not sure what you are wanting, go to my services page to read descriptions of the services I offer!
Once you are scheduled you will get a text from our system with a client intake form to fill out. This helps me to get to know you better.
When you come for your appointment I will ask you questions about your hair history, what you are wanting and we will talk about your hopes and dreams for your hair! Pictures are always welcome to help me to know exactly what your goals are, you can send them any time to my contact information!
You will be offered drinks and snacks while you wait for me to formulate the perfect color or prep your perfect style! While you wait or process, we have a comfy couch and a TV to make you feel right at home and a boutique for you to browse.

Education...
My education in the hair industry began at a very young age. I always loved to watch my mom cut my hair and see how she did layering and blending.
I attended college at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho and studied auto mechanics and fashion design (crazy combination, I know!) For each fashion show I presented a line at, the hair school would come and style the hair of all my models. To be honest, that was more exciting than presenting a fashion show! Thats when I knew I would do hair but my plan at the time was to do it later in life.
When I moved to Vernal, I knew I had the option to either work or go to hair school and I chose Prime Cut Academy! I finished my schooling and licensing in 10 months as well as multiple brand education courses. Within the last few months of my schooling, I had the opportunity to do an assisting internship with Sharon Warick, an experienced stylist in Tooele, UT. This was a turning point in my education because I was able to learn advanced techniques including razor cutting and an exceptional client experience.
Since then, I have continued my hair education as well as my knowledge of the business side of this industry. I have become familiar with my love for web design, social media marketing and creating the perfect experience for every guest!

Products I use...
I believe in using the best products for every single one of my clients!
My preferred products for chemical services are by Redken. When I lighten hair, I use a lightener that has a bond builder built into it as well as olaplaex. The health of your hair is my number one concern no matter what service we are performing. I use Redken Fusion, Shades EQ and Gels as well as some Guy Tang and Pulp Riot.
For hair styling, I have a few brands that I like to use. I think the best product knowledge comes from experience and I have tried tons of products! To style I use a variety of brands including redken, IGK, Sexy Hair and Amika (among others). Most of what I use we have available for retail in our salon but if not we can special order anything we can get!
For a recommendation specific to your hair, come in for a consultation! With every service, I make sure to let you know what I am using on your hair so that you know exactly what is needed to get your hair feeling exactly how it does when you leave.
